I sit back in my seat
Hearing the roar of the engine
The rush of power

The mechanical bird runs down
The airstrip, taking off
Leaving the world behind

We are in the air now
Were nothing can touch me
And your words no longer hurt

The blue sky and white clouds change
To velvet ink and sparkling stars
Knowing that up here
With only the birds and wind,
I am free
